P&B – Waste My Time (single)

Following on from their previous single July, which enjoyed support from BBC Humberside’s Introducing show, Hull based singer-songwriter duo P&B (aka Paris Ashwood & Bob Tinsley) now come with their new single Waste My Time – a track that explores the disconnect one can feel for things that you’re no longer in love with & getting lost in the process of trying to rediscover yourself.

Sung by vocalist Paris & produced by instrumentalist Bob, the song features a conversation with a close friend about feelings of frustration, defeat & recognising the trait of overthinking, which we can all get stuck on from time to time. Imagery of how inspirational the ocean used to feel in days gone by, while trying to reconnect with that state of mind, paint an emotive picture of struggle, that’s eloquently delivered through Paris’s soulful vocal performance.

Waste My Time has been in the duo’s live set for a while now, which has given them time to hone in on the nuances & details of the delivery. Bob says of the release “It’s always one of the last ones in our set & goes down well with the audience every time. Usually, it’s just the two of us playing it, so it’s great to finally give our listeners a fully-fledged studio version with a full band sound.”
