It’s been a hugely impressive few weeks for Humberside indie punks Black Lime – picking up radio play and press throughout the nation following the hotly anticipated release of their primal and hard-hitting track Mania. Now more good news has come their way, as the release snagged second place in the Louder reader poll for Track Of The Week.
Beating down new tunes from the likes of Prophets of Rage, Flasher, Haggard Cat, and Beach Riot, Black Lime‘s Mania finished the poll nestled between metalcore offering Anti-Social from While She Sleeps at number three and the poll-winner: nu metal giants Slipknot‘s long-awaited new single All Out Life.
Louder said of Black Lime, “This lot have got a bit of attention from the gathered music press of late. This track channels garage-y, grungy rock’n’roll with a “hefty blend of grit” thrown in for good measure.”
Elsewhere the boys were interviewed on Dublin’s RTE 2XM for The Bunker show, before dropping in on BBC Radio Humberside‘s Introducing show to chat with show host and new music champion Alan Raw where they previewed their upcoming release Idol’s Hands.
